BACKGROUND

During the intensification of agriculturel production from
1945 to 1990 a large number af plants and animals became
regionally and locally extinct or rare. All Amphibian species
that used to be both nationally and regionally common declined. 

The species (Bufo bufo, Rana temporaria, Rana arvalis, Rana dalmatina, Rana esculenta, Triturus cristatus and Triturus vulgaris) that in the 40´ties used to be commen, declined whith a rate of 50 % in 40 years. The species
(Bombina bombina, Hyla arborea, Bufo calamita, Bufo viridis and Pelobates fuscus) that in the 40´ties used to be only regionally common declined whith a rate of 50 % in 40 years. (Fog).
